On my drive home this week, as I listened to Nirinjan Kaur’s Chattr Chakkr Vartee chant on repeat in my earbuds, someone cut me off. This happens with frequency, now that I’m driving more often in a Honda Fit I bought in 2007. It doesn’t have as much zip as, say, most other vehicles, and at present has zero working headlights.
(please note, I took it in for routine maintenance and an oil change in late April, which included a 36-multipoint inspection, which did not include headlights?)
I’m not sure precisely when they stopped working, but I hope it was pretty recently. Almost all of my driving happens in daylight, as the days are longer and I often leave the yoga studio at 3:30pm. But I noticed that they were not working May 2nd when I tried to come home from a friend’s house. Since then I have purchased replacement bulbs from the car place, determined where the bonus fuse box is under the hood, opened it (with major assistance), confirmed the fuses are still good, and YouTubed how to replace the bulbs.
